Annoying Password Popups

Just a bit of sharing... I’m sure it’s useful to someone!

I’ve been getting bugged for a while when accessing some servers that have an old copy of my password saved. I get prompted each time I change my password to re-authenticate.

This applies to Windows Explorer and IE (in XP, not sure about Vista). I’ve know of a few people getting prompted to authenticate onto the MOSS sites.

Solution:
Start > Run > “rundll32.exe keymgr.dll, KRShowKeyMgr” (without the quotes) > OK
This will list all the Network locations and Web Sites that have a authentication details stored. You can view the properties or remove the entry.

Hope this helps.

(Thanks to Mike Halliday for this)
